Meter Reading

Town Employees read water meters around the 1st of the month.  If the 1st falls on a weekend or holiday, meters are read the day before the holiday or weekend. The Town of Cayuga does not estimate meter reads.  Please keep meter covers clear for proper reading.  If the meter is covered by a vehicle, it could be towed at owner's expense. During the fall and winter months, please be courteous and keep the meter free of leaves, snow, and ice.  

The Town of Cayuga uses a wand for reading water meters and are read one by one.  The wands hold the data for each meter and is then transferred to our data collections system for billing.
